Who We Are

A Family Built on Faith

For over twenty-five years, Emberlight Church has been a place where neighbours become family and faith becomes action.

Our Story

Rooted in Scripture, growing in love

Emberlight began in 1998 with twelve families meeting in a living room on Liberty Avenue. Today more than a thousand people call this church home — yet every Sunday still feels personal, because every person still matters by name.

We are an interdenominational Christian church: Bible-centred in teaching, warm in worship, and relentless in serving our city. Whether you are exploring faith for the first time or returning after years away, there is a seat saved for you.

What We Believe

Simple faith, deeply held

01

God loves you first

Grace comes before effort. We meet you where you are, because that is exactly where Christ meets us.

02

The Bible guides us

Scripture is our compass for life, family and purpose — taught honestly, verse by verse, every week.

03

Faith moves outward

Worship that stays inside these walls is unfinished. We carry hope into homes, schools and streets.

Leadership

Led by shepherds, served by many

Pastor Daniel Reyes has led Emberlight since 2011 alongside his wife Miriam and a team of elders, deacons and more than two hundred volunteers. Teaching is expositional, worship is heartfelt, and leadership is accountable.

  • Verse-by-verse preaching every Sunday
  • Pastoral care within 24 hours of any crisis
  • Financial transparency published every year
